Azuma is an Australian company that was founded by Paul Smart, a former professional runner who represented Australia at 10,000 meters. Frustrated by what he felt were inferior shoes at exorbitant prices provided by major companies, upon retiring in 2001 Paul set out to rectify this problem. Continuing his passion for running and sports in general and using the contacts he made during his career, he formed Azuma International.
Setting out to develop the "ultimate shoe for the ultimate performance" Paul has developed shoes for the Australian National Rugby League (NRL), AFL teams (Australian football), Australian Touch Rugby and most recently, the Australian cricket team.
Dedicated to quality and giving the athlete an edge in performance, Azuma is the new player on the block for high performance athletic shoes.
